The MiPro MU-53L is a cardioid subminiature lavalier microphone (also known as tie-clip or lapel mic) in black. Ideal for presentations, the MiPro MU-53L features a 4.5mm diameter mic element and is terminated in a MIPRO style mini XLR, suitable for use with old-style MiPro MT-103 bodypack wireless transmitters. The MiPro MJ-53 phantom power adaptor is also available - this allows the MiPro MU-53 to be used with cabled systems where phantom power is supplied by a mixer or similar.

The Mipro MU-53L will generally give better gain-before-feedback than an omnidirectional mic, but is less effective if the presenter moves their head from side to side. this makes the MU-53L most suitable for difficult acoustic environments where the presenter can be persuaded to keep their heads reasonably still.
